How to Browse & Edit the ‘Concepts’ in a Managed Ontology
Studio users can browse and edit the concepts in the Managed Ontologies. The studio provides a provision to view, add, modify, delete, link, search concepts and their related information. An advanced user can also create and test a SPARQL query for further use in a pipeline.
The following are the steps to open the Ontology Concept Editor for browsing/editing the Ontology’s concepts:
- Locate the ontology whose Concepts you wish to explore. (Refer ‘Browsing the List of Ontologies and Selecting One’).
- Right Click on the Ontology name and click on Explore/Edit from the Quick Menu.
- This will open the Ontology Concept Editor which looks like below. It is explained in detail in further sections.
- To go back to List of Ontologies, click the circled left arrow ← at the top left.

Alternatively, you can ‘Double Click’ on the Ontology name as that also opens the Ontology Concept Editor.
